The Next Phase of Candler Park
In 2018, the Candler Park Conservancy worked with neighbors, local businesses, and the City of Atlanta to produce a Vision Plan for what we wanted the park to become. Over the years we have completed some projects, while others have exceeded our ability to fund.
In 2022, City of Atlanta residents voted to approve the Moving Atlanta Forward infrastructure package. A portion of this funding was targeted to City of Atlanta parks, including Candler Park.
We’re excited to announce that the portion of that funding allocated to Candler Park will soon be used to refresh the active lawn, including adding better entrances to the park, and adding a walking track.
Initial Construction Concepts
Perkins & Will has been working on Candler Park projects for almost 10 years now. That have started to put together construction documents that will guide this project. We’re happy to share a few of them below.
