VISION PLAN
Candler Park Conservancy worked with design firm Perkins + Will to develop a comprehensive conceptual plan for the long-term improvement of Candler Park. This award-winning plan, referred to as our Vision Plan, includes more than 12 transformative projects for the Park defined with broad input from our community and other stakeholders.
Our Vision Plan creates a new narrative for Candler Park as “Atlanta’s Natural Place to Play.” It lays out a comprehensive framework for enhancing and expanding on existing uses. The Vision Plan seeks to promote preservation and protection of the Park's wildlife and natural areas. It also seeks to address needed renovations to key recreational amenities and provide better entry points and connectivity.
The Conservancy is working to refine these designs and prioritize these projects, raise necessary funds and undertake important preparatory work.
While these efforts are complex and ever-evolving, we welcome input and expressions of interest from you to help guide implementation of the Vision Plan. Please feel free to contact us with ideas, questions or comments. The Vision Plan is a living document. It is part of a dynamic, ongoing conversation between all stakeholders about the future of the Park. The current plans and images and descriptions are high-level and conceptual. It is up to the Conservancy and the community to work together refine it and to make it a reality.
