Calling all bird nerds! Please join Candler Park Conservancy and Atlanta Audubon Society for a fun and free event on Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Candler Park!

We'll begin with a quick educational workshop about songbird nesting and habitat in urban parks and green spaces like Candler Park led by Jason Ward, a talented young expert from Atlanta Audubon Society (https://www.audubon.org/content/jason-ward) and host of the popular Topic show "Birds of North America." We'll then work together to install a series of new bird nest boxes in designated sites around Candler Park! Nature-lovers, birders and other interested neighbors of all ages and experience levels are welcome!

We will convene at 3:00pm in Candler Park at one of the small picnic pavilions (just east of the parking lot). Parking is available in the main Candler Park lot at 1500 McLendon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30307, or on streets surrounding Candler Park. A limited number of binoculars and light refreshments will be provided.
