Please join us on Saturday, November 14 at 10:00am for this socially-distanced ribbon-cutting event for the new Amy Erwin Memorial Garden in Candler Park.
In the memory and honor of our founding board member Amy Erwin (1961-2018), we've installed a shade garden on the southern side of Candler Park where the pedestrian path from McLendon Avenue crosses through a meadow between the park's wooded coves. The project was made possible by the generous financial support of many who loved Amy and the in-kind services and expertise of a range of project sponsors.
We plan to meet at the site of the garden to celebrate Amy and this lovely new amenity for Candler Park! The site is a short walk (approximately 0.1 miles) from the main Candler Park parking lot where surface parking is typically available. If the parking lot is full, street parking is typically available in the neighborhood adjacent the park.
All are welcome to attend. Attendees are encouraged to register via our website so we have a sense of numbers, but registration is not required. Please note that all attendees will be required to wear a mask and observe social-distancing and other public health protocols to attend.
